SORRY EVERYONE...

So sorry I haven't posted anything for soo long. I started to get into photography, thinking I would try some stop motion down the line. Then taxes came and went and things got crazy.
Then thinking I would start fresh, I started an other blog for mostly sketches. Thinking that would spark me to draw more, and it did...for a while. Now I'm just stretched between too many things.

Well here's where I'm at. I have an Art show coming up in July with my good friend Tyler Brown. I'm going to open a web site for various things, but I will keep this blog connected with the site. The site should hold the bulk of my things all in one place and have this to add to and keep going.

I hope this works.

The Start to the 011

I'm gonna try to make this year a painting year, and try to have at least one show. Here is the first of what I hope will be many more for the 011.

ZOO SKETCHES

I had our Aunt Linda come by last week to watch the kids, and had the opportunity to get out of the house.
I've been to the zoo many times, but have always wanted to go and take some time to just sketch the animals. So I called up my Buddy Tyler and we went.
I will definitely be going back for more.

SWING DESIGN

My best friend, Larry Peacock is known for being one of Portlands best Lindy Hop Swing dancers. Larry now lives in San Antonio where he is developing an online Lindy hop store. He asked me to help him out with a design, and when he mentioned Disney's "All the Cats Join In" he made it really easy to come up with this piece.
His site, lindyhopstore.com should be up this fall.

Drawing A Mystery

I do these things called "Lock-ins" at the Department of Skateboarding. For the last Lock-in I had a fun idea for a shirt graphic. I would draw two guys bird-napping the eagle out of the Department of Skateboarding's logo. Inspired by "101 Dalmatians' " Horas and Jasper, I drew the first. Reflecting on it for a while I opted out and went for a "Cartoon Modern" feel Instead.

I liked it much better and I'll definitely be working more with this style in the near future.

HANDLEBAR sp

I haven't been painting much lately due to my Brother and I starting a Screenprinting Company. For fun we called it, "Handlebar sp." Handlebar isn't all about mustaches and facial hair, but more about fun. This is taking up a lot of my time right now, but I have plans to do some paintings and illustrations soon.
